San Pedro (Trichocereus Pachanoi) seeds are viable and therefore ideally suited to grow. The seeds grow very slowly. It takes several years before they can be harvested.

Use a grow box. Fill plastic containers (5cm) with sterilized soil. Place the seeds in the soil and press lightly. Place the trays in a layer of boiled water and wait until the surface of the earth becomes moist. Take the jars out and cover them with plastic wrap. The optimal temperature in this stage is between 18°C and 23°C. After a few days to weeks, green baby cactus occur. After about four weeks you can start hardening. Pierce 2 holes in the foil and then every day. You can remove the plastic film when the inside atmosphere is the same as outside. Watering with boiled water or rainwater. Not to dry, but not too much water. After one year, you may repot them, be very careful with the pen root. If the cactus tends to turn yellow, that means that it needs more light, if the cactus tends to turn red then it needs less water.
